We Get It Right The First Time
We prioritize the details and deliver quality work with transparency.
Our team of professionals work closely with you to deliver lasting results for all types of buildings, including residential and commercial properties. Masonry is a versatile construction technique that involves assembling bricks, stones, or concrete blocks with mortar, and is used for a wide range of structures such as homes, commercial buildings, fireplaces, and driveways.
We prioritize the details and deliver quality work with transparency.
Our past customers have left glowing reviews about their experiences with APS.
Owned, operated and staffed by local people who love the Philadelphia area.
Fill out the form below and we’ll reach out immediately. Every estimate is free with no-obligation. Your free masonry estimate covers potential repair, new construction, or specialized masonry restoration projects. Our estimate process takes into account key factors such as the type and severity of damage which can influence pricing for projects such as brick repairs.
We respond right away. Alec will reach out by phone or email, depending on which you selected.
We schedule a walk-through. In-person when the project is in Philadelphia, Bucks, or Montgomery County. During this phase, we work closely with you to understand your vision, preferences, and specific needs for your masonry project.
You receive a written line-item proposal after the project walk-through. Every cost is broken out, materials are specified, and a timeline and payment schedule are included. APS also handles all necessary city permits for masonry projects in Philadelphia, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
No pressure, no follow-up spam. If the fit isn’t right, we say so. If we can’t hit your timeline or budget, we say that too.
A complete estimate request gets a faster, more accurate proposal back. The more we know upfront, the less back-and-forth before we can walk the site.
Include in your contact form submission:
Project scope: Repair? Full rebuild? New install? Rough idea of what you want the finished result to look like.
Timeline: Any hard deadlines (closing date, seasonal)?
Property details: Rowhome, twin, detached? Approximate year built? Any known historic designations?
APS works with a variety of other materials such as stone, concrete, and tile, and can address repairs or construction for other structures like walkways, patios, and landscaping features.
APS also handles all L&I permits and Philadelphia Historical Commission submissions when required, so you don’t need to sort that out before requesting an estimate.

Yes. APS Masonry Contracting estimates are free, no-obligation, and include a written line-item proposal. We don't charge for site visits, phone consultations, or preliminary scope-of-work discussions. If you decide not to move forward after receiving the proposal, that's fine. We'd rather walk away from a bad fit than push a homeowner into work they're not ready for.
APS responds to every estimate request immediately. After the initial response, we schedule a walk-through in-person. You'll receive a written line-item proposal after the walk-through. If you submit after hours on Friday, expect a response Monday morning.
Include a rough project scope (repair, rebuild, new install), your timeline, and the property type (rowhome, twin, detached, approximate year built, any historic designations). The more we know upfront, the faster and more accurate the estimate we can provide.
Most industry guidance recommends 3 to 5 bids for masonry work, since prices vary widely. APS encourages comparing proposals, and a line-item proposal makes that comparison easier. When reviewing bids, look at scope detail, material specifications, mortar type (critical for historic homes), timeline, payment schedule, license number, and insurance. Lowest bid is rarely the best value if the scope is incomplete or materials are under-specified.
Yes, we handle active water intrusion, unsafe chimneys, collapsing walls, or any structural safety concerns. Emergency response is typically within 24 to 48 hours depending on weather and current project load. We can usually get on-site faster for chimney and water-intrusion emergencies.
Yes. APS handles all L&I permits and Philadelphia Historical Commission submissions when the scope requires them. Structural masonry, chimney rebuilds, foundation work, and any exterior project visible from the public right-of-way in a historic district all require paperwork that APS manages as part of the project. Homeowners don't file permits or applications separately.
