Stamped Concrete Contractors in Philadelphia

Stamped concrete gives you the look of brick, slate, or natural stone at a fraction of the cost, and without the shifting and weeding that comes with pavers. APS Masonry designs and pours stamped concrete across Philadelphia, Bucks County, and Montgomery County, for patios, driveways, walkways, and pool decks that hold up through Philly's freeze-thaw winters. You pick the pattern and color; we pour it to last. Licensed and insured since 2017 (PA #139378).

Patterns & Colors

Stamped concrete can mimic almost any high-end surface. Common looks:

  • Brick, in running-bond or herringbone

  • Slate and flagstone

  • Cobblestone and European fan

  • Weathered wood plank

Color comes from integral color mixed into the concrete plus a release that adds depth and shading, so the finish reads like real stone instead of painted concrete. We'll walk you through samples and help you pick a pattern and color that fits the house.

Stamped Concrete vs. Pavers

Pavers and stamped concrete land in a similar look, but they wear differently. Pavers are individual units, so they can shift, settle unevenly, and grow weeds in the joints over time, and they usually cost more to install. Stamped concrete is one continuous slab: no joints to weed, nothing to shift, and less upkeep. Pavers have the edge if you ever need to lift a section for access underneath. For most patios, driveways, and pool decks, stamped concrete gives you the same look for less money and less maintenance. We'll give you the honest trade-offs for your project.

How We Pour and Stamp Concrete

A good stamp job starts underground. We prep and compact the base, pour the slab at the right thickness with reinforcement, and cut control joints so it cracks where we plan, not across your pattern. While the concrete is still workable, we add color, stamp the pattern, and detail the edges. Once it cures, we seal it to lock in the color and protect against water, salt, and stains. That sequence is what keeps stamped concrete looking sharp instead of fading and flaking after a season.

What Drives the Cost of Stamped Concrete

Stamped concrete is priced on the specifics, not a flat rate. The main factors:

  • Size and square footage

  • Pattern complexity and number of colors

  • Number of stamped vs. bordered areas

  • Whether an old surface has to be torn out and hauled away

  • Site prep, grading, and drainage

We look at your site and give you a written estimate that matches the actual scope. Stamped concrete generally comes in under the installed cost of pavers for the same area.
